“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.” Hebrews 13:2

The scripture tells us to “practice hospitality,” which literally means “to pursue hospitality” (Romans 12:13).  This command illustrates the idea of the vision to have a hospitality Ministry at our church.  The Hospitality Room is a place for women to minster to guests and newcomers.  One of the most important groups of guest we see is the many hundreds of parents and family members of Upward Basketball players and the cheerleaders that stay on the church property during practices on week nights during the Upward Season.  Having a central welcoming location to host these parents in a relaxed setting can afford the opportunity for friendships to develop and barriers to broken down for those who do not attend church and do not know Jesus Christ as Lord.  Guests will be invited to come to the room to find out more about the church, receive refreshments and be welcomed by those who staff the room.

If you would like to become involved in this Ministry, see Ashlie Pugh or Deana Mandigo.
